Saturday in Wiesbaden 2-12-12

Saturday we laid low and got acclimated with the new time zone. We all slept until 9:30am and decided we should wake the girls to get them acclimated with the time zone. It was 10am before they were awake and out of bed, which was very nice and impressive! We hung around Josh's apartment coloring, playing, and reading. We ate lunch (finally convinced Lillie it would be worth trying Nutella!) and put the girls down for naps. For dinner, we headed down to Josh's Greek Place for a yummy meal. It was actually Lillie's second and Jeremy and my third time to eat there, which is a bit amusing!

The view from Josh's balcony... the playground that Lillie is dying to go play on.

The sun!! A rarity in Germany in the winter; and we have gotten to enjoy it for two days.

Trying to get a picture of the girls in front of the Greek Place.

The girls and me in front of the Greek Place: Mykonos.

Annie... are there words?!?!

Annie and Lillie not enjoying the Greek olives!

Enjoying some genuine Greek yogurt with honey and almond pieces.

Annie being not sure after her first bite.

Ulysess, the propieter, (equal to our manager/owner) serving our after-dinner Ouzu shots!

After dinner Ouzu - a Greek Anise liquor that has a licorice smooth taste... no burn!

The girls are enjoying their suckers... Lillie did ask where her Ouzu before dinner shot was so he went to great lengths to explain the suckers were for the kids and the after dinner Ouzu was for the adults.

Dinner: (I wasn't sure how to include this throughtout the pictures but wanted to make sure to include tonights Greek menu.) The girls had spagetti with a nutmeg/cinnamon meat red sauce, I had lamb skewers with tzatziki sauce (a garlic, cucumber, yogurt sauce) and fried scalloped potatoes, Josh had lamb gyros with tzatziki sauce and fried scalloped potatoes, and Jeremy had calamari, salad, and fried scalloped potatoes. Again all very yummy!
