Irelands' Christmas/New Year's/State Bowl Game

The Irelands were able to come down the following weekend (New Year's) to celebrate Christmas. The timing really worked out great. Everything was able to calm down a bit and Jeremy was off for the whole visit. We all had a great time getting to see them - especially the girls!

We had a pretty boring New Year's Eve (sorry Tim and Peter!) which involved sitting around watching T.V. and drinking adult beverages. We had a nice time visiting with Jeremy's brothers but probably not the most exciting New Year's Eve time for them... especially after surviving a German New Year's a few years back.

New Year's worked out very well with our guests as well. We were all very laid back and relaxed. We exchanged Christmas gifts in the morning and then prepared for State's bowl game. After our very exciting win against Michigan we ate a Christmas/New Year's dinner. The girls had a great time with Gramps, Mimi, Tim, and Peter.

Annie's idea of opening presents - climb on top and then sit on until collapses. This was a bit upsetting for Lillie. She did not want Annie climbing on Gramps and Mimi's gift.

Victory! Such a cutie!

Gift wrap... what could be better!?!?

Finally, in the box!

Lillie opening presents. She received two books that are read to her by the Irelands. She loves them. She giggles while she sits on the couch looking through them. The funniest part is she gets tickled and then talks to them in the book. They have been a huge hit!

Game time!!

Go Bulldogs!

Annie getting in on the action. And yes, that is a State passie she is sporting! :)

Our sweet Annie!

Sorry I didn't take anymore pictures!
