It was a whirlwind last week and I don't even know where or how to start. We have had our house on the market since the end of July and with in a week of coming to an agreement of one offer we received another. Our first offer was contingent on the guy getting a job in Memphis and we were still able to market the house which is how we got the second offer. The second offer was a better offer for us, however, they want to close on the 12th that's right the 12th of March so the heat was on to find our own house.
Last week, we spent Monday, Wednesday, and Thurday lunch times looking at houses and -narrowing it down. After lots of prayer, we narrowed it down to two that we would be happy with either way. Friday we put an offer on a house and came to an agreement by Sunday afternoon! Can you believe that! Within 48 hours, we bought a house that we had just seen for the first time on Wednesday! We are pretty amazed at how quickly it has all come together and how good God has been with all of pieces falling in place. I will post pictures once it is all ours.
We are still in need of a few prayers if your giving them! :) We still haven't heard from the appraiser - he came last Friday to appraise our current home. Our agent said the longer it took the better but geez it has been awhile now and I would like that number to be the correct number and if it isn't we are doing a lot of work for nothing. Also, we are having the new house inspected on Friday. I just continue to pray that things go smoothly. It is amazing how smoothly it has gone so far! Praise the Lord!
Oh... we did all the above (definitely just read the the short version!) with Valentine's Day, my birthday, 1st birthday celebration with a very special little bulldog!, Valentine's celebration at the tennis tournament - Andy Roddick/James Blake and Maria Sharaprovia style, mission dinner at church, and started Lillie in a "big girl" bed. Oh and even packed a few boxes. :)
