Our 4th of July, began with the High Point Parade. We met up at a friends house and joined in on the parade and then enjoyed the firetruck hose to cool off. Jeremy and Lillie actually rode the bike over and Annie and I met them at our friends house. Lillie finally got into the hose this year... that is with the help of Daddy and her friend Meg. There are some great pictures below of her and Meg testing the waters and running back when they were sprayed. They were pretty excited and animated about it all.
Annie taking it all in - all the people, water spraying all around, Lillie running to and fro, her friends popping up out of nowhere, and dogs... what could be better than dogs! :) She just squealed and pointed at everyone of them. In fact, it looks like she is pointing at something in this picture. So curious!!
Daddy taking Annie to check out the hose. She is already more tolerant of it than Lillie ever was at that age. However, she seemed most at ease when she was with me... outside the the spray zone but near the curbs where it was pooling up - perfect for splashing!
Lillie willing to go check the hose out with Meg. The drama! :) Oh, and I think that is the dog everyone got all excited about beside Meg.
Run! You wouldn't want to cool off too much. Ha!
Gracie found Annie! Life is good!!
Love this picture! Sorry I didn't get Annie's face better but love this one of Lillie!
Annie still examining... and looks like tasting everything.
The walk back to our friends. Katie (Meg's mom) had the lovely task of pulling the big girls Lillie and Meg. They are so silly together.
Proof #1 they are so silly!
I got the little girls, Gracie and Annie. They are both so cute! Just taking it all in!
So cute!
